The report for the last auction of agricultural machinery held on the 25th of August, a clearance rate at 83% was achieved with 66 of the 79 lots on offer finding a new home. The buyer demographic included Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow and Sligo. Two Uk based buyers participated in the auction of the collectable lots on offer. A total of 1283 individual viewers tuned into the sale with 40 individual buyers securing the 66 sold lost. The export market played a role with three older type machines now on route to Africa.
The collectable Ford 7000 generated three individual bidders, with the hammer falling in the favour of a Wexford buyer at €20,000.
The next Sale for Plant, Vintage and Agriculture Machinery is scheduled for Monday 3rd of October. Viewing of the Machinery on offer is scheduled for the Saturday 1st of October with the sale again run in conjunction with the Irish Farmers Journal. The sale is again a general open auction on a capped format of 80 lots for Plant, Vintage and Farm Machinery. There is a strong demand in the UK for collectable vintage tractors with a premium for quality restored tractors in the Ford thousand series. Plant Machinery and track machines wanted for multiple buyer base.
